    Crescent is the most horrible and terrible credit card processing company I could ever imagine. First, they go home at noon each day and you can get no answers. They have carefully crafted staff in ways to hold your money and deny talking to you. Complaints are so prolific that their phone system can identify complainers numbers and route them to voice mails.     PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE check into more reviews about this company before you sign anything with them. In my opinion, it is a TOTAL SCAM! They go into my account, whenever they want, and take out money. They always come up with some ridiculous excuse for doing it.   • No Call List Harrassment


     
    Crescent Processing Company has been soliciting our office for months and we have always asked to be put on a no call list. We were getting at least four calls a week from them. Earlier this week they called and said that they could not respect our request to be put on a no call list unless it came from the owner.     Ive been a merchant with Crescent for 6 years, I personally love this company and haven't had any issues with them. I occasionally come across a terminal error or two but with any type of machine you will sooner or later. No company is perfect they work with me on my rates and surprisingly when I received a good offer from another company THEY BEAT IT :) that showed me they really cared about my business.   • CPC is GREAT!


     
    I just began working for CPC as an ISA. It is great. The people are friendly, and the job is not bad. Like any job, there is going to be an adjustment period. You have to get used to the new job. Some people are complaining about the job, but the people with complaints didn't wait it out. They quit before they could get into the job, and really do it to the best of their ability.     I had dealings with Crescent 2 days ago. They were extremely brash. By that I mean they sped me through a rushed presentation. Then they fed me garbage about how Terry Bradshaw promotes Crescent free. That is pure B.S.. My last company contracted with Terry Bradshaw to do a promo webinar for them.     WROST COMPANY EVER. At first they are the most wonderful people ever. But once you have signed the contract you dont mean anything to them. DON'T RECOMMEND anyone to switch over to them.     They will charge you a fee if you don't use their service. I canceled over one and a half months ago and they still continue to try to deduct payment even after I called them and sent them information from my bank showing when they tried to deduct payments. They said they'll look into it but the deductions continue. Don't give them your debit card. The bank won't stop it. I don't understand why not with a debit card.   • Rude and Money hungry


     
    I was going to work for them, until I was sent a laptop for work that was falling apart. When I say that I mean it, when I got it out of the box the back of the screen was almost off and the screen would lean forward from its casing. I ended up not working for them, I was told I would have to send it back. I had to wait until I got a pay check to pay the shipping, however that wasn't fast enough for them.     If you're thinking of signing with Crescent Processing-don't. They try to audit accounts and hold the money until they get a form from your customer. Then hold it even though your customer sends the form. So now your customer is mad because his card has been charged but the account is not credited. This happened to me and when my customer decided to pay with a check, I was still charged a transaction fee AND a refund fee.     As a business owner I signed up with crescent processing with a sales rep, who told me there was no fees for early termination, after a year or so of using there service, credit card sales declined to a point were I getting all cash for services, and was paying 30bucks a month for something I was not using, so I decided to call crescent and let them know I wouldn't be needing their services anymore.     Crescent processing has over 40,000 clients and the vast majority of them have been with Crescent for more than two years. Most of these complaints are due to business owners not knowing how processing works. For example when a companies average ticket size is lets say less than $1,000 dollars and they run a transaction for $5,000 dollars this puts up a red flag.     My account with Crescent Processing was closed on October 31, but yet I am sm still being charged fees for November and December, including compliance fees. As part of the closing of the account Crescent sent a FedEX call ticket to return the terminal which they received on November 5.     I have a small business selling consignment clothing to teens and young adults. Isigned on with Crescent Processing Company to save on credit card fees. I couldn't have been farther from the truth. Every year they would add yet another fee. According to their website, qualified transactions consist of cards that are swipped.     I checked out cresent before the appointment and went in to the appointment with my eyes open, and ears too. I read the BBB reports on complaints filed however all were resolved except 30.Also when I asked about the number of businesses they have I was told over 50,000.I checked it out so the complaints are minimal compared to the volume they serve.     We went with this company because the sales rep. led us to believe that we would get $300. toward cancellation of prior company's fees and that we were under no obligation to stay with the company if it did not measure up to what we needed.   • My Big Mistake


     
    I was duped by the Crescent salesman. Big Mistake, my monthly costs are up, my per transaction fees are up, my yearly fees are up. This was a costly mistake for me. What a mess. My system went down on a busy saturday and when I called for help they told me to leave a message, but their voice mail was full so I couldn't leave one. I just had to lose business.     i switched to Crescent about 2 months ago u have no idea how many times my business money hasn't been deposited in my bank for a few days, i deposited a check in april and they didnt even tell me that it didnt go through until the customer called me and told me i never cashed hes check, wat a great customer i called crescent and asked if the check has been deposited and they said it hasnt been authorized so i had to go to the bank and deposited my self so i mean the check scanners dont work the rate isnt that great and some of the customer service employees will have an argument with...     I have read several of these complaints and they are such a crock!! The guy who had $8,000 held from him is because it was a transaction for $8,000 when his average ticket was probably around $500. Any time you swipe a card for that ammount will be flagged for fraud. EVERY PROCESSING COMPANY DOES THIS!! Just about every complaint on here is the direct result of the merchant not doing of understanding what they are supposed to do.     We will be cancelling Crescent Processing Services for our credit card processing as soon as the contract is up in Sept. This company is a complete scam. We were bound by a contract. We lived up to our agreement, but they have not lived up to theirs. They hold onto funds for no reason. I Am a small buisness owner in a small auto repair shop in Belpre ohio. Sitting at my desk one morning. I would say a gentelman but I aint. Walked in and started to tell me how much money he could save me on my curent prosesing termenal. He was tall and glasses as thick as an old pop bottle bottoms. To make a long story short. I told him I already had a company I was under contract with. He said There company would pay the early cancelation fees and I said I think I will stay where I am at. I wished I would have kicked his lying ass to the curb then but I didn't. I let him go on. He said to me it can't hurt to just see how much money I can save you and to just see if your even qualify. He said just give me your information and sign the aplication to see if you qualify. You can make up your mind if you want to change if you qualify. He told me this is just an application to see if you qualify. I didn't see where that could hurt untill three days later when I got a package in the mail. It was a termenal so I called and told the company I just signed a application to see if I would qualify and he agreed with the man that was in my office. He said to me just unplug your termenal and hook the one we sent you and I told him I aint going to do that. He assured me to do it and see how easy it was to operate and just simply put it back in the box and return it If I didn't want to switch companys. I did it and for 18 months utill I had spoke to at leased 20 differnt employees argued tooth and nail until I finally had to go close my account after they had stole over $1000 from me. I had filed a complaint with the better buisnes of ohio. Wich they did nothing. Bottom line is this company is the bigest liars and theives I have ever run accross. I know they train all there employees to do this. What I can't figure out is how the law allowes it.

I have been in the merchant processing field for many years. Crescent, and it's sister companies, are a disgrace to the industry. There are many good companies to choose from. Why any merchant would go with a company with even a hint of bad practices is beyond me. Crescent figured out a way to close the deal before the merchant can do their due diligence. They equip all of their agents with laptops. I have left the dark side and now work with KV Management. We are NOT a processing company. We do NOT sell equipment. The merchant does NOT have to change processors. We simply go in and lower the merchants fees with their current processor and keep a split of the money saved. That being said, if I run across Crescent (or other rip off companies) I find another quality processor for the merchant to use WITHOUT me making any money off the switch. I am not leaving my phone number because I am not soliciting business here.

All the fees described by the rep are in the terms and conditions on page 2. I go over them with every merchant and am proud to say that all my business comes from happy referrals

big, big crooks. Just got off the phone with Cliff. It is okay to charge me a $79.00 "card data security fee". He said the electric company can change their rates, so they can too. Also, I have no choice. I can't break the contract without the early termination fee. Also, I have a document that I was supposed to be charged $5.00 for my pin debit monthly fee. They have charged me $7.00 a month for 2 years and won't credit or reduce that fee. I have faxed them all the documents and no reply. They also won't send me a signed contract. Stay away from this company. They can raise and will your fees and you can't do anything about it.

i used crescent as my processor for several months. the sales representative told be i could process debit cards at a certain fee and that he could save me money all around. when the first statement came i was paying much more and overall lost $300.00. when i called crescent to complain they said they were not responsible for what their field reps said. astonishing way to do business. i immediately took the debit key pad out but continued to do business. almost every saturday (my busiest day) we would not be able to transmit because some sale had not gone through the night before. they said something was wrong with my telephone line. these same lines had always worked
before and i have had no trouble since. they also said that perhaps i should buy new telephone lines from walmart because they would be better.this is a bad company. now they have turned me over to collections and i have evil attorneys calling me. stay away from this company.
